In partnership with Wildrose Co-op, the Mental Health Foundation has provided funding to support services, develop new programs, and reach out to more individuals struggling with mental health and addictions issues.
Growing Protective Factors in Viking and Area
Enhancing mental health in the Viking area by supporting vulnerable clients and building protective factors.
Supports include providing grocery cards, fuel cards, recreation passes, and one-on-one assistance to address food insecurity, access to services, and social isolation. Local therapists receive stress-relieving tools and resources to share with clients. Funding will also support a new caregivers support group.
Partners include ARISE Wellness Coalition, AHS Addiction and Mental Health, and Viking Beaver Family Services.
